Double Increments and Leave

28 June 2023 • CMCFA President

The Employer has agreed to allow those who were on maternity, parental, or medical leave for more than six (6) months of the 2021-2022 academic year to bring forward their contributions to teaching, research, service, and professional standing during that year for consideration in the current assessment process for 2022-2023. UTs who were on maternity, parental, or medical leave for six (6) months or fewer in 2021-2022 should have had all their contributions to teaching, research, service, and professional standing during that year considered in the performance assessment process for that year (2021-2022).

We understand that UTs who were on maternity, parental, or medical leave for more than six (6) months of the 2021-2022 academic year have been asked to bring forward their accomplishments during that year for consideration this year. If you are a UT who was on such leave in 2021-2022 and were not asked to do so, please reach out to your Department Head with that information as soon as possible. The increments meeting is scheduled for Thursday, June 29.

Please help ensure widest distribution of this message to UTs, particularly those known to be currently travelling or not on the CMCFA distribution list.

Management will be reaching out to faculty shortly for consultation on other proposed changes to the faculty assessment process.

Questions or comments should be directed to the CMCFA President at luu@cmcfa-apcmc.ca.
